Project partners Sunnyside Community Energy Group, South Union Community Development Corp, Houston Renewable Energy Group, Houston Mayor’s Office of Complete Communities, Solar United Neighbors, and the developers of the Sunnyside Energy project are collaborating on a free 10-week mini-certification Solar Installation Training class. Classes will be held at the Sunnyside Community Center Monday evenings starting September 19, 5:30–8 p.m. Class size is limited to 20 students, selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to Black and Latino residents, non-college track, and special needs.
